Sydney and Cullen came to me through a friend and former photo mentor of mine, Megan Maundrell. It's always exciting getting referrals from fellow photogs! Immediately from chatting a few times with Sydney I knew the two of them were absolute sweethearts and I couldn't wait to capture their story! The two of them share faith and their love for exploring and frankly just utter and amazing love for each other. They booked me for their wedding and we got to planning their engagement session. We agreed on a time and place and I couldn't wait! With covid having postponed a lot of weddings this was one I was really looking forward to especially since they had no intentions on postponing which I was super thankful for! We met up at Birds Eye Cove Farm and I was in awe of the place. I'd always dreamed of shooting there since having seen so many other photographers amazing shots from their previous shoots, and it did not disappoint.
You turn off the main highway before Duncan, and drive through tons of farmland for 20 minutes or so then you end up on some narrow winding road that borders the ocean so at first I was like "where the heck is this place???" Then you round this one corner and BOOM there it is! A beautiful farm overlooking a tiny cove of the ocean that is bright and open and just stunning!
We were blessed with beautiful weather and lots of laughs, and the warm energy they brought I think reflected well in their photos. I cannot wait to capture their wedding in June!
